A secluded country retreat filled with gracious hospitality.
A place to enjoy the nature, quiet countryside and various
attractions of
the Niagara Region. Facilities are available year-round for short
getaways
and longer retreat holidays.
Welcome to Niagara-on-the-Lake, the prettiest town in Canada. A
place of old
world, small-town charm, nestled in the junction of the Niagara River
and Lake
Ontario, just 10 miles from Niagara Falls. The Niagara Region is rich
with numerous
attractions that can occupy your family's interests for a day, a
weekend or longer.
The original Prussian homesteaders on the property, the
Servos family from the
Palatinate in Germany, first settled here in 1783. The family
cemetery and ruins of
the Palatine settlement can still be viewed.
Come and follow the paths to the meandering stream, or explore
our forest. Bike
to nearby wineries and join the tours and tastings. Cherish the
moment and relax in the
gazebo with a book, or stroll to a neighbour's farm and savour some
fresh-picked fruit.
The B&B home and hosts are child-friendly, so bring your children
along for a memorable
family holiday. The property is an ideal location for outdoor garden
events, such as
weddings, receptions and special parties. Many wonderful memories
have begun
at Palatine Hill B&B.

Presently, Palatine Hill is the site of a unique and
spacious passive-solar
home, set in a beautiful park-like forest. The home has an open
concept kitchen, dining and living area with soaring cathedral
ceilings, large
window walls and skylights, setting a delightful tone for the full
breakfast.
Join your hosts before the striking wood-stove, or relax in the cool
gazebo. Three
guest rooms, each with ensuite bath, are situated on the lower,
private level of the
quiet, peaceful home. Two of our rooms have private garden entrances
and generous
views of the forest, birds and wildlife.
