Hickory House is located on an acre-and-a-half estate
property beside the Moira River in Old Mill Park, Foxboro, on
the northern edge of the City of Belleville.
Named for the ten Shaggy Bark Hickory Trees that dominate
large, riverside property, Hickory House is proud to offer a very
unique and relaxing form of hospitality. Here we blend the spirit of
home with the ambiance of a country estate.
At Hickory House you can enjoy your morning coffee poolside
the patio in the summer, and by the fireplace overlooking the river
or in the solarium at other times of the year.
The unique decor and spaciousness of the guest bedrooms,
featuring elegant Egyptian cotton linens and European-style
duvets, create a comfortable elegance.
For the recreationally minded, a multipurpose trail borders
one side of our property and the river is part of the natural beauty
along the back garden, pool and patio area. The combination of
rapids and quiet waters here attract fly fishermen as well as herons
and families of ducks and geese.
Regional parks and conservation areas, massive sandy
the Bay of Quinte, the Waterfront Trail, golf courses and cultural
events are no more than 30 minutes away by car.
Guests enjoy the quiet living room or the restful combination
warm sunshine and the sound of the rapids in the solarium. Then
there is the gathering place in the kitchen, where the fireplace is
always burning when the weather turns cool. The jacuzzi bath is
supplied with candles and fragrant oils.
